Reading In A Whole New Way+ Reading On Screens

Both articles "Reading In A Whole New Way" and "Reading On Screens" were interesting to read back to back and both made interesting points about the debate of reading on paper vs. screens. In the article "Reading On Screens" the author makes a very good point about how it really boils down to the individual. Our world has turned into a technology based environment and people are doing everything over screens nowadays so it only makes sense that we would do our reeding on screens too. The Kindle is a great example of this because it demolishes the book completely. "Reading In A Whole New Way" made a very interesting point about how in the future we will depend on screens and we will never be far from one. This is a frightening thought. It also mentions how the toy industry like Webkinz used a toy to lure children to the screen and the same goes for Club Pinguin. We don't even realize whats going on in the world around us and how much the screen is really taking over our lives until we dissect it all. Both of these articles were eye opening and left me with a lot more questions and thoughts about the benefits and disadvantages of our "screens".
