Blogs: Bonjour Paris + Perez Hilton

The personal blog I chose was "Bonjour Paris " because I was really attracted to the layout of this blog. I think the way Peter Lindbergh presents his blog is what attracts readers. He uses catchy phrases and interesting pictures which is what caught my eye in the first place.

The other blog I love is Perez Hilton because its visually appealing with all the colors, the fonts make you want to read the blog, and it has a lot of funny, interesting and interactive content.

Avatar movie poster

I decided to do the movie Avatar for my poster because its one of my favorite movies and I thought it would be very fun to recreate. Since the characters stand out so much on their own I didn't make the poster too buys with writing because the colors are already so loud and vibrant. I stuck with a more simple font that matched the theme of the movie and went with a color that stands out yet doesn't take away from the image.

DeerPark Water Advertisement

For my advertisement I chose a water bottle company called DeerPark. I decided to go with the less is more concept and focus primarily on the water itself by adding the classic mountain background and having the water bottles be the center of attention. I put the bottles in the center of the picture so it would be the first thing people would look at when they see the advertisement. I also decided to add the company Nestlé in the picture on the top left as well as adding Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter in the bottom right corner. My idea behind using social media in my advertisement is to let viewers know that they can find the company on social media and it allows the company to connect with a wider range of people. Overall, I am happy with the way my advertisement came out and even though I didn't use a lot of words, I feel it is an effective advertisement for the water.

David At The Dentist

"David At the Dentist" is a funny short video clip of a little boy named David who went to the dentist and was put on anesthetic. The clip shows the aftermath of David and the funny hallucinations he has as the anesthetic is still in his system. This was one of the first viral videos uploaded to YouTube in 2009 and has over 137 million views. I believe this video started a new trend where people take videos of their loved ones after coming out of surgery or the dentist and are still high on drugs and pain medication. The innocence of the 7 year old David and the hilarious moment that was captured is what draws people to this video.

Where Are They Now?
